Many firsts...

Lots of firsts around here lately...Gabrielle is too big for her bumbo seat, the two big girls are in new beds in their new bedroom, and Bethany is in a big girl bed! Fun times!

Bethany's early birthday celebration...part 2

More fun photos from Rainforest Cafe. Happy Birthday my little 3 year-old!

Bethany's early birthday celebration...

We decided to celebrate Bethany's 3rd birthday early because Grandma Jo (Darren's mom) was in town visiting. We opened her presents and took her to the Rainforest Cafe at the San Antonio Riverwalk. The girls hadn't been to the Riverwalk since we left San Antonio over 3 years ago, so it was nice to go again.

Homeschool Water Day

Here are a few photos from Homeschool Water Day (hosted by SAWS - the San Antonio water works) where the girls played games, looked for organisms in pond water, had snacks and a picnic lunch, watched presentations about the water cycle, and played with friends. From top to bottom: Gabrielle in her stroller during lunch, Hannah watching a presentation about the water cycle, Eliana crawling through a tube, Hannah and Eliana inspecting pond water, and Bethany holding a ticket to play a game. Everything was free!

Our budding pianist..

Doesn't little Gabrielle look great in red? ( Don't mind the red-eye!)

South Texas Corn Maize! - Part 2

The experiences that day (beside the corn maize) included the corn popper (a huge bouncy mat), a hayride and picking out pumpkins. We also had a picnic lunch on the grounds. I hope we can go again next year!

South Texas Corn Maize!

On October the 16th we went to a corn maize and pumpkin patch! It was great fun. We had to answer bible questions and if we answered the questions right, we would make it through. We did make it through in about an hour!

Somewhere over the Rainbow....

On October 15 this beautiful rainbow graced the skies of South Texas. The girls LOVED it. Hanna's pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the rainbow colors (ROY G BIV) now!

Eliana is now 5!!!

It's hard to believe that 5 years have passed since our fun-loving little Eliana was born. We love her cheerful smile and adventurous nature. We celebrated her birthday by having yummy gluten-free donuts for breakfast and opening presents. We had a fun day out and about, and then picked up Grandma Jo at the airport. The day ended with dinner out at Pei Wei with Grandma Jo.

On the eve of Eliana's 5th birthday...

On the evening before Eliana's 5th birthday (Oct. 11) we celebrated by having a family dinner at home followed up by chocolate cake. Even Gabrielle got to try some. Everyone is geared up for an exciting time tomorrow. Grandma Jo arrives!

First Piano Lesson!

Our big girls had their first "official" piano lesson today! Music has a prominent

place in our home and we hope to have our own mini-orchestra before too long. :-)
Our little ones were happy onlookers. Their time will come!

Loving the library...Part 2: Bethany's Escapades

Bethany escaped off down some aisle in the library while we were dealing with some lost items at the checkout desk. Thankfully, big sister Hannah saved the day by retrieving her for us. Bethany's other "escapade" consisted of us having to pay $38 for two library books that she had an "accident" on. Two-year olds!!! Gabrielle enjoyed all the comotion from the comfort of her stroller seat. Don't you just love it when they don't mind sitting in the stroller? That age passes all too quickly.
