What's going on outside...

Yay! Darren is putting together an outdoor playset for the girls!

Some more fall foliage peeking through.

We finally bought a wrought iron Texas star.
Every Texas home needs one!

Our Favorite Gluten Free Restaurant

We love to eat at this restaurant when in the Dallas area! My girls (and I) can indulge in many foods that we normally cannot have. EVERYTHING in the entire restaurant is gluten-free, and the menu is huge! It's located in Plano.

Fun times in Dallas

Every other month or so we seem to end up in Dallas with Darren doing some extra work there. I pack up a few suitcases (one dedicated to school stuff) and follow along! Here are some photos of the girls and I in the hotel room where we spend most of our time while there. Since we don't have TV reception at home, PBS Kids is a special treat!

An Evening With Friends - Part Three

Last but not least, we were able to enjoy dessert and wine in front of a roaring fire. I think this was the first time we used our fireplace. The top photo without the flash looks kinda weird!

An Evening With Friends - Part two

The girls decided to put on their princess dresses and host a dance. It was fun watching them twirl and swirl to the tunes of the Nutcracker.
The patio was inviting with it's candlelight

An Evening With Friends - Part One

We had a great time of family fun with our old friends the Hoekstras! The evening was full of food, fellowship and frolicking children. :-) Thankfully it was warm enough to eat outside.

Backyard Fall Fun

These photos were taken on November 1st (I know - it takes a long time for me to update this blog!). There was some slight fall foliage (don't laugh peope - it doesn't get much more fall-ish than this in San Antonio.=!) beginning to show. The day was warm enough for the girls to play in the water.

All Hallow's Eve

This year we carved cute pumpkins and dressed up as princesses. I had wanted the girls to dress up as saints in honor of All Saints Day, but didn't have time to make any costumes. So, the princess theme came about. I reminded the girls that they are daughters of King Jesus, and that the daughter of a king is a princess! They enjoyed passing our candy and meeting many of our neighbors.
